Recovery in Guatemala is slow; a civil war spanning nearly two generations leave this nation with more orphaned children per capita than any other country. Extreme poverty has left widespread malnourishment and lack of education in its wake. In 2009, political stress led Guatemala to close the door on US adoptions. Should we stop reaching out to our brothers and sisters because of governing policy? Who will care for these children?

We have the Guatemalan people deeply rooted in our hearts, and so we now choose to take Hope to these dear people. We go, we serve, we love, and we meet physical needs, because we follow the example of Jesus, and He is ultimately the hope we bring. We pray you will join us on this journey.
